A compact playbook for clearer briefs, stronger prompts, and faster iteration across images and videos.
Start with a clear creative brief
- Goal: what should the viewer do after watching/seeing it?
- Audience: who is it for, and what do they care about?
- Offer + CTA: what’s the hook and the action?
- Constraints: platform, duration, aspect ratio, and any must-include elements.
Use references (when possible)
- Reference images help lock in style, product look, or brand vibe.
- Be explicit about what the model should copy: lighting, palette, composition, typography, or mood.
- If using a URL reference, make sure it’s public and high-resolution.
Describe what’s on screen (not just the idea)
- Subject: who/what is the focal point?
- Environment: where is it happening?
- Composition: close-up vs wide, centered vs rule-of-thirds.
- Lighting: soft studio, golden hour, neon, etc.
Iterate like a creative director
- Change one thing at a time (style, background, angle, or text).
- Save what works; reuse the strongest prompt and swap only the variable parts.
- For videos: keep motion simple first, then add camera moves or transitions.
Keep brand consistency
- Repeat brand colors, product descriptors, and visual motifs across generations.
- Use the same style tags/palette for a campaign’s whole asset set.
- If you need text overlays, keep them short and high-contrast.
Prompt patterns you can copy
- Images: “Create a {format} for {audience} promoting {offer}. Style: {style}. Colors: {palette}. Include: {must-haves}. Avoid: {don’ts}.”
- Videos: “{duration}s {aspect ratio}. Show {sequence of 3–5 beats}. End on {CTA}. Style: {style}. Camera: {simple move}.”
- If available, enable prompt optimization when you want more polish with less typing.
